Wherever you look on 7 recommended circuit walks you will come across unique flora and fauna, for particularly when you’re walking, you have to time to turn your focus to things you normally overlook in everyday life. Mountain peak fans can get closer to the sky on 4 summits, Schönbichl, Schwarzeck, Grubhörndl and Dietrichshorn - and there efforts will be rewarded with great views as far as Bavaria and the Tirol. The following are the circuit walks mentioned above:
- "Almsee Lake tour", "Schönblick-tour" and "Haus Gertraud tour": each 2 km over easy terrain
- "Märchenwald tour" and "Schwarzeckalm tour": each 4 km for hobby walkers
- "Grubhörndl tour" (6 km) and "Thällernalm tour" (9 km) for ambitious walking enthusiasts
On the other hand, the many nature discovery paths are a real highlight for families. Little ones can discover their surroundings on the “Wasserfallweg” or waterfall path, sharpen their sense of nature, and have fun learn lots of interesting facts at the individual stations. Start at the Mittelstation, but please be aware that only part of the path is suitable for pushchairs.
For anyone who prefers a longer walk, there are options for walking connection to the Steinplatte range and Waidring, Unken via the Steinplatte range / Heutal or through the Unkenbachtal or Schwarzeck/Unkenberg
